Owners of property and landlords need to know their rights and responsibilities when it comes to their Party Walls, and what works can and cannot be undertaken to such a wall without notifying a neighbour.
If you are planning any works, you should first find out whether such works fall within the Party Wall etc Act 1996. If such works are affected by the Act you are obligated by Law to notify all neighbours.
